Soiling losses of for a given PV array are determined by the most soiled cell / panel in a series string. The PV Pattern Soiling Station (PV PSS) is designed to easily mount to the ends of the PV arrays, utilizing a proportional number of cells to the native arrays and in this way is representative of the soiling losses of the entire PV array.
The PV PSS is designed to measure and model soiling losses at the panel-level while providing the accuracy and simplicity of short-circuit current measurements at the cell-level.
